Frank Vernon

Frank Vernon and his wife, Hazelteen, took over Brady & Lil's Bar-B-Q Restaurant in Memphis in the early 1980s, after its founder, Brady Vincent, trained them and retired. The family renamed it The Bar-B-Q Shop. The restaurant's barbecue spaghetti and its sauce came with the business from Brady, and the family later bottled the sauce as Dancing Pigs Bar-B-Q Sauce. In 2008 the Southern Foodways Alliance reported that Vernon was slowly handing the business to his son, Eric, who was general manager and part owner as of 2021.
